Aspect adds Hollywood’s Classics to slate

UK producer and distributor Aspect Film has picked up a series about Hollywood from US indie OTM Productions.

London-based Aspect has secured international distribution rights outside the US, Australia and New Zealand to Hollywood’s Classics: Behind the Scenes (26×26′), which looks into the careers of movie stars, directors and producers.

There are two seasons so far, with more episodes in production. Episode one features Oscar-winning talent such as director Robert Wise (West Side Story), director Oliver Stone (Platoon) and actors Julie Andrews (Mary Poppins) and Robin Williams (Good Will Hunting).

Hollywood’s Classics is produced and directed by Mark Kaplan and Scott Goldrich of OTM.

Aspect’s catalogue also includes feature-length documentaries Food Matters, about food and the health industry, and The Peter Green Story, about the founder of 1960s rock band Fleetwood Mac.

Food Matters was previously sold to Canal+/Planete in France, Channel 8 in Israel and Singapore Airlines.
